Focus on Auckland city's economy - End of the recession?

The global economy is showing clear signs of a recovery, particularly strong in Asian countries, while technically, Australia didn't even enter into a recession. Therefore, the worst of the crisis should be over and the recovery could be a relatively rapid V-shaped one. This is the good news.

But the extent to which this global improvement will help Auckland city out of recession is not yet clear. This month's wrap up of the third quarter still shows many negative indicators - but with some clear evidence of light at the end of the recessionary tunnel.
