Auckland, New Zealand

Auckland is New Zealand's largest city, with around 404,658 people living within the boundary and 1.25 million in the greater Auckland area, representing about one-third of the population of the whole country.

Built on a narrow isthmus between two harbours, it is characterised by extinct volcanoes and picturesque islands, with the city, its suburbs and the islands covering an area of 637km2.
