Introducing Auckland

Auckland youth

On this page you will find links to all sorts of information for youth - from what the Youth action policy is all about and how to be part of the Auckland City Youth Council, and lots of other things that may interest you.

Auckland City Youth Transition Services is being introduced by government in partnership with the Mayors Taskforce for Jobs and Auckland City. The Auckland City Youth Transition Services will ensure that Auckland City's young people are encouraged to develop aspirations for their future, understand the necessary steps to get there and, if needed, be supported to set out on their chosen career path. See Community projects for more information.

Youth Action was adopted in 2000 after consultation and youth involvement, and reviewed in 2003 through consultation and research. Through the Youth Action policy we aim to make Auckland the First City of the Pacific for you, the young people of Auckland - a city where you can "live long and prosper". Skateboy Pat

Auckland City Youth Council (ACYC) was started back in 1984 so that youth in Auckland city could be heard loud and clear. Since then the ACYC has become a prominent, effective component of Auckland city, becoming involved in important issues and also organising successful events themselves.
