Transport plans and policies

The following is a list of transport policies and policies for Auckland City:

Code of practice for working in the road The Road Controlling Authorities (RCA's) within the Auckland Region and the Auckland Utility Operators Group (AUOG) have worked together to produce a consistent set of standards for working in the road.
Kerb and channel policy Auckland City's kerb and channel policy was approved by the Transport Committee and adopted on 1 October 2003.
Residential Parking Policy November 2001 (Amended June 2007) The objectives of the residential parking policy are to balance access to kerbside parking in residential streets between residents, visitors and commuters and ensure parked cars do not prevent the safe and efficient use of streets.
Street lighting policy A study on road lighting was undertaken in 2002-2003. Report recommendations, based on the study findings were adopted by the Transport committee on 3 March 2003.
Liveable Arterials The Liveable Arterials Plan is a new way of managing the City's arterial street network. It is based around setting in place a very carefully crafted balance between the many different needs and demands users place on and along our arterials.
Neighbourhood accessibility plan A neighbourhood accessibility plan aims to improve cycling, walking and access to public transport facilities in your area.
