Auckland City Council and Redwood Group Ltd (a private property development company) both own and manage land in the vicinity of the
Orakei Peninsula. The two groups have agreed to work together to produce a master plan for the future development of the Orakei peninsula.
This is in response to requests from the community for a collaboration that will deliver the best urban design outcome for the area.
Specific issues such as aesthetics, height and density, roading and traffic management are foremost in the minds of residents.
Details of the agreement between the council and the Redwood Group are covered in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
