Street and footpath maintenance
Auckland City is responsible for the maintenance of streets and footpaths,
so that both traffic and pedestrians can move around quickly and safely.
You can contact
us for any issues to do with streets or footpaths. This includes problem with
street or footpath surface, such as holes, damage from flooding etc.
To help ensure any problem is fixed as soon as possible, have as much of the following
information as you can:
- The exact location of
the problem ie the street name and number the problem is
outside of.
- A description of the
problem.
- If it is a pothole -
whether there stones spilling from it, or water associated with it.
- If it is a problem with
the footpath surface, whether the problem cause a serious injury to a
pedestrian.
- As much information
about who or what caused the damage - eg builders, utility company,
tree roots, if someone been working on the road or footpath recently
eg road re-sealing.
