Damaged or missing signs

If you know of a problem with a public road sign, such as signs that are: 
  • broken
  • vandalised
  • covered in graffiti
  • loose
  • missing
  • bent
  • causing a safety hazard

Contact us to arrange for the problem to be rectified.  To ensure the problem can be fixed as soon as possible, please provide us with as much of the following information as you can:

  1. Give Way signThe type of sign, eg give way, keep left, street name sign, electronic bus stop sign.
  2. The exact location, eg street name, intersection of which streets.
  3. A description of the problem, eg graffiti, damaged, missing.
  4. If the sign is missing, is it causing a hazard?
  5. If the sign's pole is broken or missing as well.
  6. Whether the damage was caused by a road accident.

Request for new signs

If you want to request a new parking sign or a directional sign please write in to:

Please include the exact location and explain why you believe the restriction is required.

For any other type of sign, (eg Give Way, or School) you will need to contact us to discuss your request.


Requests for sign to be moved or removed

Requests must be made in writing to:

Please include the exact location and explain why you believe the restriction requires relocation or removal.

For any other type of sign, (eg Give Way, or School) please contact us to discuss your request.
