The Leys Institute Ponsonby community library 1905-2005

On the 29th March 1905 a magnificent library was opened in Ponsonby, Auckland. The library was founded through the gracious and generous dedication of the Leys family who wished to provide the community with an institution that would combine instruction with rational recreation.
