Information day for upgrades around Eden Park

If you would like to know more about the work beginning in Sandringham, Kingsland and Mt Eden – within the vicinity of Eden Park – a public information session will take place this Thursday, 5 November.

The work includes a number of projects that will improve the infrastructure of those areas, which will be undertaken by Auckland City Council along with Auckland Regional Transport Authority, Vector, KiwiRail and Metrowater.

Benefits include significantly improved traffic and pedestrian safety, faster and more reliable travel for buses and cyclists, improved water supply capacity for future growth, and an enhanced street environment with upgraded footpaths and street furniture.

The projects are part of a long-term plan for the area, which have been brought forward for Rugby World Cup 2011.
