Paratene Matchitt

Ringatu III by artist Paratene Matchitt has been installed in Alison Park on Waiheke Island. The distinctive sculpture of a blue man on a blue horse featured in the Sculpture on the Gulf exhibition in 2005.

It was purchased in 2007 by the Waiheke community board.

The fifth piece in a series of new artworks at the Onehunga Library and Community Centre is a large illuminated installation, which is suspended in the Centre's foyer.

Tiki Wananga (knowledge objects) by Dion Hitchins and Charles Koroneho is comprised of three forms made from aluminium and lashed with fibre optic cable using traditional Maori techniques.

Sculpture trails

The waterfront sculpture trail passes through one of Auckland's historic quarters and complements the views along the foreshore of the Waitemata Harbour.

Sculpture walk in the Auckland Domain - visit eight sculptures in the Domain that were installed as part of a project to mark the new millennium.
