A feast for the senses, you can "walk the world in a day", enjoying the people, music, dance, arts, crafts, displays and so much more from over 30 nations in just seven hours! The festival is a celebration of Auckland's richness and diversity of cultures and a great opportunity for new refugees and migrants to have a sense of place, feel connected and have a sense of belonging, while they display with pride the cultural variety they bring to the city. This free festival showcases a variety of cultural performances while you sample the wonderful array of traditional food on offer including, African, Asian, Indian and European. You can browse through the many ethnic arts and craft stalls, experience the cultural energy in the Youth and Performing Arts Arena and enjoy watching the skills and adrenalin displayed in the 7-aside Ethnic Soccer Tournament. On the day, you will find many of the performers and stallholders are refugees who are happy to share their stories and various aspects of their culture with other Aucklanders. We provide this free event in association with Refugee Services. Please note:
