Auckland is New Zealand's premier music and entertainment city and home to the country's most prestigious music event, the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.

Auckland City Council are delighted to be continuing their sponsorship of the awards for another three year term.

The Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards are a celebration of excellence in recorded music that has been honouring recording artists who have made a significant contribution to New Zealand music since 1965. The awards will bring plenty of glitz and glamour with a wide focus from the media and local music industry.

This event is economically important to Auckland city as the home of many major record companies, live music performance venues, and music video production houses. Auckland is full of fantastic local musicians and a lively music scene, which competes strongly on a global scale.
