Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.

The annual Free Teddy Bear's picnic is celebrating its 27th anniversary, with the ongoing backing and support from us and the Auckland Kindergarten Association.

With a strong reputation of being a 'fun day out for the whole family' and also being the longest running and largest event of its kind in New Zealand and Australasia, Teddy Bears Picnic 2009 promises to be a fantastic day out for the whole family.

Entertainment throughout the day will include two main stages of performances bouncy castles, face painting and your favourite strolling characters.

Stalls

If you would like information about being an exhibitor or a stall holder at this event, please call 579 7038.

Unauthorised hawkers, street sellers, buskers or product give-aways will not be permitted at our events. Proof of authorisation must be produced on the day to gain entry into the event area. To gain written authorisation please contact us.

Transportation and parking

 

• The Teddy Express will offer free trips all day to and from the event. The bus stop will be located in front of the JK store on Broadway. See MAXX for details.
• Please note - there will be NO free parking on the sports fields at this event.
• If you intend to drop people off by car, use the drop and dash area. We suggest you have a pre-arranged meeting place to avoid confusion.
• Please do not park on grass areas as you will be ticketed or towed.

Cancellation

Teddy Bears' Picnic does not have a rain date therefore it will not be cancelled unless there are extreme or unsafe weather conditions. A decision on the weather will be made on the day of the event.

In the event of wet weather contact us to find out whether the decision has been made to cancel the event.

Be sunsmart and burn-free at this event. Protect yourself and your whanau. Remember to bring your hats, a sun umbrella, a shirt, some shades and your SPF30+ sunscreen and help us make it safe for everyone in the sun. Remember- slip, slop, slap, and wrap and have a great time this summer!
